Pupils’ Reading Achievement and Innovative Reading Strategies: Basis for Enhanced Implementation of School Reading Program

Difficulties in developing reading skills the early grades can lead to severe academic difficulties throughout pupils schooling. Literacy is one of strongest predictors success. This study aimed determine achievement before and after program implementation. A quasi-experimental using group pre-test post-test design was used. The results revealed that scores reflect most at least 70 level 3. means them have evaluative level. Similarly, 10 50 were tallied literal inferential levels. Moving on posttest, average increased posting score 100. It also increases (79 scores) (88 scores). There a significant difference (M=43.33) (M=89.00) (t-comp =10.66> t-critical =4.30). concluded three levels SHARP implemented. Majority belonged which requires ability move beyond text consider what they think believe relation message text. assessment implementation not same as reflected mean wherein has higher compared pre-test. Using intervention effective improve pupils. Furthermore, teachers may sustain further increase school heads every linkage for budget finance materials snacks beneficiaries.
